Introducing the 2017 Volvo V90 Cross Country

In most instances when writers complete a sentence they end it with a period, which is a perfectly acceptable way of going about things. Occasionally, though, ideas end with an exclamation point because no other punctuation can capture properly the excitement that the preceding idea embodies. Volvo, for example, recently wrapped up its 90 Series lineup by introducing the new Volvo V90 Cross Country, a fun, if metaphorical, exclamation point to an esteemed batch of automobiles.

"The V90 Cross Country takes the elegance of the V90 and transforms it into an all-road car that delivers safety, comfort and performance in a capable and adventurous package," said HÃ¥kan Samuelsson, President & CEO, Volvo Car Group.

The "all-road" part of that endorsement is what really matters in terms of this vehicle. As Volvo points out in a press release, Sweden is blessed with some of the harshest winters in the world, and considering over 77 percent of the country is covered in forests and lakes, they should be considered experts in building a vehicle that can tackle even the toughest terrains.

The 2017 Volvo V90 Cross Country features a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine capable of generating 316 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque, while its side panels are designed to resist scratches and the undercarriage sports a protective shield as well, mostly to keep the bottom engine components away from harm.

Here at Tom Wood Volvo, we look forward to selling this slick new car to Carmel, IN customers, and we invite you to take one for a test drive at your earliest convenience. It could very well be the exclamation point your life has been needing!
