The future of Volvo is electric. Building off the success of the new Recharge line of electric and plug-in hybrid Volvo models, we’re going all-in on EVs. Here at Tom Wood Volvo, our dealers are excited about the new Volvo cars coming in the future, and we are happy to share what we know.
Volvo Embla
The upcoming Volvo Embla will be an all-electric SUV with an all-new design approach. The design of the upcoming Volvo Embla will be very close to the Concept Recharge that the automaker debuted in 2021, with long, sleek wagon-body lines in a large SUV package.
The new vehicle architecture pushes the wheels out to the corners of the SUV, which makes room for a long-range battery pack expected to power all four wheels.
Our dealers have also gotten word of the Volvo self-driving system that it’s calling Ride. It will be able to offer a level of hands-free, self-driving capability to increase safety.
The cabin of the Volvo Embla is set to be chic and minimalist, with natural and sustainable materials throughout. On the Recharge concept, a large 15-inch touchscreen stretches across the dashboard, with a configurable digital instrument cluster and head-up display in front of the driver.
EV Recharge Models
Though not much else is known about specific future Volvo cars, we do know that the Recharge EV line will play a larger role. With a push toward zero-emission electric vehicles that are both powerful and guilt-free, Volvo is moving toward a sustainable future. And Volvo EV technology is more than just environmentally friendly, as our engineers will make sure that’s plenty of power and range available to get you where you need to be with a smile on your face.
